So if you haven't heard David Beckham is coming to the United States to play soccer for the LA Galaxy. Yay? I ask this because there is constant comparisons with the legend Pele, everyone keeps saying that he will reinvigorate US soccer which no doubt he will but what about when he chooses to retire? Will the same thing happen as when Pele retired and the league fall apart. What about past leageds that played in the MLS when it was still the new league?
Carlos Valderama many people do not know him by his name but by his flowing yellow locks. What about the current greats that still play in the US, like future Beckham teammate, Cobi Jones who came into the league and is arguably still one of the greatest American players out there.
What about the General Manager of the Galaxy Alexi Lalas to only American to ever play in Italian Serie A, with is flowing red locks and long red goatee he did set himself apart when he played in the United States with the Revolution and Wizards.The point his he worth it and if he is will he do more to help the league or hinder it.
