Your like my brother but I have to say it!

So I took a drive yesterday night and thought about a lot of things. Things were thought about and I think I have most of it worked out. So I think that I am all gouda now, maybe. Now that I have said that on to what I want to post about.

So I miss my friend Mike's concert last night (www.redefinerocks.com check them out) and didn't find out about it till they were like on stage. I found all of this out when I called Macha. Well, he was telling about how this really, really hot girl was there and how all the guys were just floored by this girl. So I told him to go hit on her, Macha said he couldn't because she was there with like 10 of her friends. So what did I tell him to do? Hit on ALL of them!!! What's the worst that could happen, you get shot down by all of them. Nothing lost! What's the best that could happen, you get them ALL! Rock HARDCORE!! So what does he do? Nothing!! This leads me to the most important part of my post, geeks and nerds.

Geeks have traditionally been freaks and do things like biting the heads off of chickens, but now a more accurate description would be someone with a social ineptness. A geek would also be someone that plays and talks computer parts and games more or less constantly, they would also go to LAN parties every weekend and some weekdays. The constant gaming is not limited to computers but can extend to gaming systems, mostly just the new one like XBox, PS2, N64 and so on. Geeks also have more friends online than in real life, where they met through gaming or some other sort of site on the internet. These geeks are the people that think that they are cool by making fun of you in Kligon or with some Lord of the Rings or other sci-fi book reference. Geeks are also the people that wait in line for day, weeks, months for movie tickets, and also dress-up, have weddings, or special parties while waiting in line for the movies. These are the type of people that give nerds a bad name, this is also the group Macha used to be a part of.

Nerds are defined as unstylish, unattractive, or socially inept person, this I think that this is a valid description of a nerd now either. I will admit it I'm a nerd. I dig comic books, movies and books. I and the rest of the nerds draw the line at quoting movies/books at people to make them feel inferior to them. We dig on movies based on comics and can tell you every little reference that a comic turned movie makes. As a nerd we also have this thing were we can function in social situtaions, so we have friend's in real life, true we may spend too much time at centain websites, or surfing the net but we will not allow the internet to rule our lives. That is why nerds are cool.
